How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking your tux appointment at least 4–6 weeks before your event. During prom season, earlier is always better to ensure the best selection and availability.
Do I need an appointment?
Appointments are strongly encouraged, especially during prom and wedding season. This ensures you receive one-on-one attention and a proper fitting experience. Please call us for an appointment.
Can I look at pictures online before my appointment to get an idea for what I want?
Yes! We encourage that! There are so many options for suits and ties - the combos are endless. We recommend looking through the Jim's Formal Wear website and saving your favorite ones!
What should I bring to my fitting?
Event date, inspiration photos (if you have them), shoe size, any color details you’re trying to match. For prom, knowing your date’s dress color is very helpful.
How long does a fitting take?
Most fittings take approximately 20–30 minutes.
When will my tux arrive?
Tuxes typically arrive 1–2 weeks before your event. We will notify you as soon as it is ready for pickup.
What if something doesn’t fit?
When you pick up your tux, we will have you try everything on. If adjustments are needed, we will work quickly to correct sizing issues before your event.
When is my tux due back?
Rentals are typically due the next business day after your event unless otherwise discussed at pickup.
What happens if something is damaged or lost?
The renter is responsible for lost or severely damaged items. Minor wear is expected, but excessive damage may result in additional charges.
Do you offer wedding party coordination?
Yes. We can assist with coordinating styles and colors for wedding parties. Please indicate this when booking your appointment.
Do you have tuxes in store?
We do not keep tuxes in stock on-site. All tux and suit rentals are professionally measured and custom ordered specifically for each client and event through Jim’s Formal Wear, one of the nation’s leading formalwear providers. This allows us to offer a wide selection of modern and classic styles while ensuring the best possible fit and presentation for your occasion.
